Thought of the day 30/11/2014

Today's thought is dedicated to a friend of mine that I share such a magnificent friendship with. For years we have been very close friends, for years we have had the mutual understanding that sometimes we will be too busy to catch up; but nothing ever changes.

At school we would laugh and giggle endlessly through lessons. At sixth form we would meet each other every day for our 'morning routine'. Once I moved away we would wait for my return to catch up so that we had so much to talk about.

I moved back home for a while and we literally lived in each others pockets. It was at this point when we realised that this friendship was eternal. None of the BFFL rubbish. Just a mutual understanding of the importance of the other person; how much we relied on each other; how much our friendship meant to us.

I moved away again, then she packed her bags and moved herself. Though we have grown separately, (literally in miles and metaphorically too) we have never been closer. The daily conversations, weekly skypes and the ultimate excitement to be reunited at Christmas.

I want her to know that I understand how difficult it is to move away from home, and be so many hundred miles away from everyone you know and love. And at those points in time that you may feel low, just remember that I LOVE YOU.
